Why can taking Outdoor Continuous Provision make an impact on children?

Children love being outdoors, naturally. Here is why!

  1. Freedom to move. Outdoors, children can be more themselves, such as being noisy and moving fast and using big movements.  All areas of the curriculum!
  2. Outdoors, children tend to be with other children more than adults and have more peer playtime than adult-led activities, which they like!  Again time to be themselves!
  3. The sensory experience.  Indoors can become much for most, especially those with up to 30 children.  Going outside can give you all that brain break that you need.

Other links you can make with chalk?

  • Link to Expressive arts and drawing patterns on objects
  • Shapes and Maths
  • PSED and emotion faces on rocks or walls
