Let’s Play Outdoors Training Programme

Suitable for: Early Years Ages 0-5 yrs | SEND Provisions | Alternative Provisions

Our Let’s Play Outdoors training programme empowers staff working in early years settings, special needs units, and alternative provision to confidently embrace outdoor learning using the tried and tested, trademarked approaches of The Muddy Puddle Teacher.

This hands-on training doesn’t just tell—it shows. Practitioners experience first-hand how to create rich, engaging outdoor environments that meet the needs of all children. Using a stripped-back, imaginative approach, the programme supports staff to see the potential in simple resources and natural spaces.

Alongside the training, staff are provided with a full year’s worth of play programmes and planning, supporting them to embed these approaches confidently and consistently long after the training has been delivered. To see our play prompts included with our training splash this way.

Rather than replicating the indoors outside, we focus on unlocking what makes outdoor learning unique—offering opportunities for exploration, creativity, and development that simply can’t be achieved within four walls.
