Outdoor learning has many benefits and can support many educational issues, such as speech and language, EAL, obesity, and physical and mental health. AS well as being a significant mental health tool for staff. However, teaching outdoors also has a massive impact on those children with SEND or neurodivergent children. Our approach uses a particular system to ensure every lesson is active with many sensory benefits. The open space helps to diffuse sounds and make the outdoors a peaceful classroom to teach within. For children with ADHD, outdoor learning also allows them to be active and supports children who benefit practically and playfully.
