Lesson 1: Bird Spotter Activity Sheet

Use the Bird Spotter Activity Sheet to get the children outside applying their Science and knowledge in an active way. The children will need to bird spot and appreciate where these animals create habitats while using literacy skills to describe them.

Here are some top tips to help with the Bird Spotter Activity Sheet:

  1. Birdwatch.  Lots of resources can be found on the RSPB site as well as top tips.
  2. Make a den from old sheets, with a hole to bird watch from.  Take some sandwiches and sit out and wait.

Remember there are many charities out there looking after our wildlife, it is time we all take notice and understand the importance of caring for nature. The RSPB, Wildlife Trust and Woodland Trust all play major parts in helping with this so do spend your time visiting their sites and doing your bit.

For the best nature-related videos head to National Geographic for Kids. They have some incredible resources!
