The training is very flexible – anyone who wants to learn more about outdoor learning opportunities is able to go through with it, no matter how tough their schedule might be. Sarah and team are very helpful and supportive. The MP facebook and website provide many great ideas for outdoor activities, themes, materials, handling and storing of such.
Even though the training is not 100% suited for our setting, which is in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and not in the UK, we were able to make the best of it.

Muddy Puddle Training
I have recently completed the Muddy Puddle training for Stages 1-4. The team at Muddy Puddle provided me with constant support, using the chat facility to answer any questions quickly. I have found this training to be very beneficial to myself, thinking of alternative ways to teach outside of the classroom environment. Also, of benefit to my class, they have fully embraced being outside in all elements.

Completing this course has enabled all teachers and TA’s to teach the children confidently about our outdoor surroundings and Environment to help bond children with nature and respect the world we live in. Instead of once a month the adults take the children out when needed which helps them focus no matter what time of year.

Loved completing the courses and having…
Loved completing the courses and having the support of the team when I had a question was great. It gave me lots of food for thought and I am excited at how this can be used. Due to the current situation, I think this is an excellent way to address the classroom and distancing constraints, and allows us to address children’s wellbeing in a more natural, positive approach.

Great ideas that will use…..however we had already done many of them and the weather conspired to make the others impossible! The class have now moved on to other topics but the Muddy planning I downloaded (in a desperate attempt to find an idea that would work with the weather!) has been filed in my outdoor ideas file for next year!?

Outdoor Fun and Laughter and Learning
I am a Childminder and I was looking for something to help me with providing new ideas and activities for children under 5 whilst following the EYFS. The muddy puddle teacher has so many ideas and resources. I am very passionate about getting children outside, but also to enjoy it, learn about their surroundings and finding new ways to play and learn have fun and giggle.
I am also a mother to 2 very bouncy school boys, who don’t often share my enthusiasm to go for a walk in the woods. The Muddy Puddle Teacher was here to help again with so many ideas and activities for school aged children. The resources, training courses are very reasonably priced. Their customer service is quick and helpful. I have never had an email ignored or not answered, which seems to be a rare thing these days. I love the fact that they change and update resources, keep ideas fresh. The facebook page is also full of great information and support.
If you love the outdoors, have children, work with children you should check out the website. Suitable for ALL ages. Much more than grabbing a pair of wellys and jumping in muddy puddles – although we enjoy doing that a lot too!

Great free resources online, which have been great for other year groups less confident at learning outdoors. Would certain,y recommend and hopefully one day soon we could get hold of some money for whole school muddy puddle training.

Fantastic training and resources
It was a great opportunity to host Muddy Puddle Teacher training at our school. The training was amazing, it gave all the staff in attendance lot’s of ideas and a chance to network and chat about their own provisions. The resources are fab and easy to use and great if you’re struggling for ideas or just need a blast of new ones in a specific subject area. I would highly recommend!
