How do I become a Muddy Puddle Teacher?

To become a Muddy Puddle Teacher, you’ll need to complete all four stages of our training programme.

What will I learn in Stage Three?

In Stage Three, you’ll focus on the well-being of the child, teacher, families and community. We’ll give you some practical advice on how you can ensure well-being through your daily outdoor learning practices. Lessons will focus on mindfulness, yoga and connecting with nature.

What curriculum does Stage Three cover?

If you’re based in the UK, this course will help you teach children in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. For anywhere else, this course is suitable for children aged 4-11.

Who can do this training?

First of all, we have some eligibility requirements you’ll need to meet. You’ll need to be an educator and be able to link to your curriculum. This includes:

– Teachers

– Teaching assistants

– Nursery teachers

– Managers

– Childminders

– Daycare providers

– Home educators

So how does it all work?

The course consists of two hours of reading and two hours of practical outdoor learning tasks. All your training will happen alongside children, in either a school or home setting. We also use only natural and up-cycled resources. This makes our outdoor curriculum very cost-effective, manageable and unique. Read about our Muddy Green Promise here.

I am really into well-being anyway so some of this I was already on such as mindfulness but I never actually thought about then taking this outside. How simple but very effective.
