Early Years Nature Art Through Patterns, Faces & Natural Designs
EYFS Outdoor Art: Transient Nature Art is a hands-on, outdoor learning resource designed for children aged 3–5 years. This pack introduces young learners to the beauty of temporary, nature-based art, where children create patterns, pictures, faces, and trails using leaves, sticks, stones, petals, and other natural materials.
Built around the Muddy Puddle Teacher approach, these activities focus on process over product. Nothing is glued or kept — children arrange, move, redesign, and let nature play a part as wind, weather, and time change their creations. This makes art exploratory, calming, and deeply connected to the outdoor environment.
Everything happens outside, using sustainable materials and open space to support creativity, movement, and sensory learning.
