Sarah’s Story

sarahOwner and founder Sarah Seaman has been a teacher for 12 years and has worked in various schools across Sheffield and Derbyshire. Sarah has been an assistant head, SENCO, Maths coordinator, Computing Coordinator, Level 3 Forest School Leader and Outdoor Learning Coordinator.

In 2019, Sarah left class-based teaching to undergo a major project in developing a new way of sustainable, interactive teaching using the outdoors as her platform. Sarah is dyslexic and understood that, in short, education could be more easily accessed by all learner types.

In developing this approach, Sarah now understands that this is the future of how we teach our children. With children inside and on technology more than ever, Muddy Puddle needed now more than ever. Sarah launched the The Muddy Puddle Teacher April 2019 and she has not looked back. Consequently, Sarah, mum of two, trains schools up and down the UK on her approach and now also offers an extensive range of online resources and courses.
